The Search for Identity in The Joy Luck Clubâ â Â Â â â â â When Chinese foreigners enter the United States of America, it is apparent from the beginning that they are in a world far not quite the same as their country. Vis-à-vis with a predominant culture that frequently demonstrations and thinks in manners in opposition to their past lives, outsiders are on a troublesome way of endeavoring to turn into an American.
